After the food leaves the stomach,it passes through about twenty-six feetof tubing called the intestines, whichconsist of the small intestine (abouttwenty feet in length), and the largeintestine (about six feet). The circulatory or blood systemconsists of the heart and heart is a hollow, muscular organ,provided with valves. It serves as aII kind of force-pump to distribute the™ blood to all parts of the body. Theblood-vessels consist of arteries, veinsand capillaries.
