Lawieiiceburg City, cap. of Dearborn co., la., 3 milesbeloAv, at the entrance of the Whitewater canal into the has the courthouse, several extensive flour-mills, andother buildings of minor importance. The immense water-power possessed here, promises to make this point a largemanufacturing and shipping port. Petersburg, Boone co., Ky., 2 miles below; has an activetrade, and a good landing. It occupies the site of an exten-sive Indian burying-ground. Pop. about 400. Aurora, Dearborn co., la., 2 miles below; pleasantly sit-uated in the mids
