Discovery's final landing, 9 March 2011. This landing took place at 11:57 EDT, on Runway 15 at the Shuttle Landing Facility, Kennedy Space Center, Florida, USA. Discovery was part of NASA's Space Shuttle program. It flew 39 missions over a period of 26 years, being retired from service in March 2011. This landing was part of its final mission, STS-133 (24 February to 9 March 2011). The pilot was NASA astronaut Eric Boe. Also on board were six other astronauts.
