Fossil museum. Items on display in a small fossil museum. The skeleton is of a Psittacosaurus sp. dinosaur. All species of Psittacosaurus (of which there were at least ten in total) were gazelle-sized bipedal herbivores characterized by a high, powerful beak on the upper jaw. This fossil dates to between 121-98 million years ago, in the Early Cretaceous epoch, and measures around 1 metre from head to tail. Photographed in Charente-maritime, France.
