A Polish estoc, circa 1700. A long blade with fullers on both sides. The back has a narrow ridge. The ricasso bears etched decoration with depictions of the sun, moon, crossed sabres, bow and arrow, and cabalistic inscriptions. Simple, S-shaped curved quillons. Massive, wooden grip. A mushroom shaped pommel with grooved surface. Length 158 cm. Rare thrusting weapon for the Polish cavalry.
