She did not love God in her heart, and haddone many things to displease him. Jesus knew this, for he sees all our heartsand knows of everything that we have done. And he talked with the woman,and told her of some of the things she had done, long ago, to displease God. Then she was surprised, and said, Sir, I see thou art a prophet.
