BROOKLYN, NY -- David Morkal, the Planning Section Chief for the New York City Fire Department's Incident Management Team, meets with Col. Mark Leahey, the commander of Joint Task Force Sandy at Floyd Bennett Field, December 4, 2012. Working with local officials and emergency response teams, the New York Army National Guard continues operations in the five boroughs of New York City in the wake of hurricaine Sandy. More than 5,000 Soldiers, Airmen, Sailors, Marines and the New York Guard and Naval Militia have been on duty to assist in the relief efforts.
