Ears V/%" diameter, cylindrical, 14-16 rowed, with long husks affording considerable resistance to ear worm. Kernels lustrous yellow, medium-narrow and deep, with tender hull; sweet and of excel- lent quality. Highly resistant to Stewart's disease. This variety is often spoken of as Bantam Evergreen Hybrid but is quite distinct from any other of that Golden Hybrid No. 2439: an Asgrow hybrid of exceptional quality â HIAWATHA (y) sy2 6% 78 An exclusive Asgrow hybrid of dainty Golden Bantam type pro- duced primarily for packing corn on the cob by canners and quick freezers. Haber of Iowa State College, com- mercially developed and entered by us in the All-America Selections trials for 1939 when it was awarded a Bronze Medal. An attractive and productive variety, highly resistant to drought and wilt, suitable for either gardener or canner. Plants tall and sturdy, with broad and numerous leaves.
