Milky Way over Lagoa do Fogo. View of the Milky Way in the night sky over the Lagoa do Fogo (Lake of Fire) crater lake of the Agua de Pau stratovolcano, Sao Miguel Island, Azores. The light of Vila Franca do Campo, a town at the southern shore of the island, can be seen illuminating the clouds on the horizon. In the sky, Saturn (upper right) and Antares, the bright star that marks the heart of Scorpio, (below Saturn) can be seen next to the galaxy's central bulge. The three bright stars of the Summer Triangle (Vega, Deneb, and Altair) can also be seen (left), along the Milky Way band.
