A 19th century illustration of a Pasha horse-tail standard with 3 tails indicating status. It was also known as a the Ottoman standard or “Tugh” that originated among the nomads of central Asia , to the Mongols and the Turks and was made usually from a bundle of horse or yak hair (black, white, or coloured) fixed on a wooden staff, topped with a metal finial. - Statü belirten 3 kuyruklu bir Paşa at kuyruğu sancağının 19. yüzyıla ait bir illüstrasyonu. Orta Asya göçebeleri, Moğollar ve Türkler arasında ortaya çıkan Osmanlı sancağı veya “Tuğ” olarak da bilinirdi.
