HARBOR, Wash. (Apr. 10, 2019) — Cmdr. Nathan Gammache, Patrol Squadron (VP) 47 Commanding Officer, poses for a picture with his family in front of a P-8A Poseidon in hangar six at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island upon returning from deployment. The "Golden Swordsmen" of VP-47 recently completed a six-month deployment conducting maritime patrol and reconnaissance and theater outreach operations within the 7th Fleet (C7F) area of operations in support of Commander, Task Force 72, C7F, and Pacific Command objectives throughout the Indo-Asia Pacific region.
