Edwin Grant Conklin (1863-1952), US zoologist and biologist. Conklin spent most of his career as professor of zoology at the University of Pennsylvania (1896-1908) and Princeton University (1908-1935). He was also active as an editor, working on the Journal of Morphology, the Biological Bulletin, and the Journal of Experimental Zoology. He also helped to promote science, mainly in his role as a trustee (1937-1952) of Science Service, now the Society for Science and the Public. Photographed in an office at the Marine Biological Laboratory, Woods Hole, Massachusetts, USA.
