King's Cross Filling Station is a 1960s petrol station redesigned in 2012 by architects Carmody Groarke to become a public landmark building, a cultural and social venue as well as a restaurant. it comprises a sheltered terrace bar in the old forecourt, with views over the Regent's Canal, and Shrimpy's, an intimate 35-seat restaurant in the station kiosk.
