Unison members from Manchester demand the re-instatement of Karen Reissman, dismissed for her union activities

Around 7000 marched to protest at plans to cut and privatise the UK National Health service, with contracts to US companies with poor records. The march was organised by 15 union and professional bodies, including the BMA, GMB, the Royal Colleges of Nursing and Midwives, Unison, the TUC and Unite to celebrate the core values of the NHS and to oppose the introduction of competition, markets and profits.
