The ponies of Griffith Park are a Los Angeles institution. They have been giving small children safe rides around an oval track for many years. Parents can choose between docile ponies, less docile ponies and fast ponies. This amusement park is a far cry from Disneyland or Disney World but it has many devoted fans. Sometimes there are tears but most children go around the track laughing and shrieking with delight.
