However, any subjects described in this catalogue may be takenby special students of maturity, who can satisfy the professor incharge of the subject chosen that they are prepared to derive benefitfrom such work. Requirements for Admission to the College, J 907. Graduates from high schools, and other schools of similar grade,are admitted without examination, on certificates which are filledout by their principals. The candidate must apply to the college. COLLEGE CATALOGUE. 25 for the certificate, giving the address of his principal who is to cer-tify him. The college will correspond with the principal, furnish-ing blanks for him to fill. Graduates from high schools are not ad-mitted on diploma. Satisfactory evidence as to good moral char-acter must be presented to the committee on entrance examina-tions. Candidates for admission who are not graduates of high schoolsmust in all cases supply a statement of such school records as theymay have made, and also a certificate or testimonial of good moralcharacter. The latter may be from some recent teacher, from apastor, or from other responsible persons. Candidates not entering the Freshman class on certificate will beexamined in arithmetic; algebra; plane geometry; English gram-mar; advanced English; one German, French, or Latin;one year of science and one year of history or their equivalents.
