Restoring the Atomium, Brussels. Construction worker repairing wear in on of the Atomium's spheres. The Atomium is an art piece built by architect Andre Waterkeyn for the 1958 Brussels World's Fair. The steel structure is 103 metres in height and was designed to represent a unit cell of an iron crystal magnified 165 billion times. The Atomium was originally built to only last up to six months, but it has now become a popular tourist attraction. Photographed in August 2005.
