CULEBRA, Puerto Rico, December 2, 2017 – Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA), and Louis Berger Corporation work together to install the copper cables used to operate the two new generators to power the island of Culebra. Since Hurricane Irma, Culebra lost its connection to the Puerto Rico power grid, which is the islands’ exclusive source of electricity. The generators were delivered by FEMA and USACE.
