Elephant Rocks, weathered limestone near Duntroon in North Otago, New Zealand.
Elephant Rocks, weathered limestone near Duntroon in North Otago, New Zealand. The rocks were created some 25 million years ago in a sea rich in sea life and lime. The sediments eventually turned to limestone due to pressure. The rocks were uplifted to newly formed land and they were shaped by rain erosion. The rocks were used as Aslan's Canp in The Lion, Witch and Wardrobe.
