View at Grangebridge (Grange) near Keswick


Grangebridge (Grange) in Cumberland (Cumbria) is close to the point where the River Derwent flows into Keswick Lake (Derwentwater). It is located at the entrance to the valley of Borrowdale between Castle Crag and Grange Fell. The village is close to Bleaberry Crag where billberries grow wild. The view taken in 1827 is from the point where the River Derwent flows into Lake Keswick and shows the mountain peaks of Gate Crag, Linning Crag and Castle Crag in the background.
