This frames the rich assortment of bright and dark nebulas in northern Cygnus, around the bright star Deneb above centre. To the left of Deneb is the North America Nebula, NGC 7000, and beside it the Pelican Nebula, IC 5067. Below the Pelican is the Cygnus Arc, IC 5068. The Butterfly Nebula, IC 1318. surrounds the star Sadr or Gamma Cygni at lower right. Below that complex is the Crescent Nebula, NGC 6888, and the Tulip Nebula, Sharpless 2-101, both small on this scale. In the top left corner is the round Cocoon Nebula, IC 5146, at the end of the Dark Cigar, B168. In the bottom left corner are the arcs of the supernova remnant, the Veil Nebula, aka NGC 6960 and NGC 6992-5. The mass of dark dust at top is LeGentil 3 or the Funnel Cloud Nebula, while the dark area below Deneb is the Northern Coal Sack. This is a stack of 20 x 2-minute exposures with the rare Samyang RF85mm lens at , on the filter-modified Canon Ra camera at ISO 1250, and tracked on the Star Adventurer tracker. Taken from home on a very clear night Sept 10/11, 2023. The lens had a NISI Natural Night broadband light pollution reduction filter, to decrease gradients and boost contrast. Some lens aberrations spoil the star sharpness in the left corners. Nebulosity enhanced with the PK Actions Nebula FIlter aciton and the Nik Collection 6 Color EFX Detail Extractor filter.
