Argentina Buenos Aires Campos del Tuyà Campos del Tuyà was originally a private reserve owned and administered by Fundacion Vida Silvestre Argentina Argentina Wildlife Foundation a non profit non governmental organization associate of the WWF Now it is on its way to become a National Park It protects some of the last remains of the pampas grasslands and wetlands where important and endangered species live like the Pampas Deer Ozotoceros bezoarticus celler the Geoffroy s Cat Leopardus geoffroyi Rheas also known as à andà Rhea americana and many migratory birds like plovers The original grasslands and wetlands of the Pampas have been extremely modified by hundreds of years of agricultural and cattle activities That is why these area is so important The photo shows a ria A very low area where tidal waters enter couple of times a day In this area many salt resistant plants grow like reeds and salicornia The colors of the plants are beautiful
