London, UK. 14 March, 2014. Activists marched around the Aylesbury Estate in a protest organised by the group, Defend Council Housing who are angered at its planned demolition. The area is to be redeveloped by Southwark Council and the protesters are alarmed by what they claim will be a reduction in the amount of social housing provision once the project is completed. A breakaway group clashed with police and security guards in an attempt to break through the security fence that now surrounds the estate where an occupation is currently taking place.
