Santa Claus at a Methodist church in Swinton, South Yorkshire, 1964. Originally Built in 1869, the Methodist chapel in Bank Street, Swinton, was demolished in the early 1970s. Methodism was very strong in the area in the 19th century and it was not uncommon for towns to have two or three churches to serve the community.
