Prom 1891 to 1896and even later the young town saw somedistressing times. Many of the popula-tion became absolutely disheattened andpulled stakes and left the country. Anumber of houses were actually movedfrom town and transformed into farm-dwellings. Arcadia was on the retro-grade. , But this is only telling overagain the story of every other town inthe Valley.
