Tennessee Army and Air National Guard members participate in a memorial ceremony for Sgt. Alvin C. York, a World War I hero and native Tennessean, Oct. 7 in Châtel-Chéhéry, France. York earned the Medal of Honor for his heroic acts on Oct. 8, 1918.
