Two Pink Skunk Anemonefish (Amphiprion perideraion) with background of closed anemone. Three things make this image special in my view: first, their two faces are almost fully aligned. Second, the anemone is closed, making it very different from the usual "clownfish with anemone shot". Third, the chiaroscuro, the shadows on the right side, give a lot of depth and volume to the image. The anemone will inhibit the production of its deadly neurotoxins in the presence of anemonefish. In exchange, the anemonefish will, with its movements, keep the anemone clean. Komodo Island, Indonesia.
