Mr. Kinneyhas always been an active member of the Republi-can party, being one of the delegates to the ChicagoConvention of i860 which nominated AbrahamLincoln for President. He was offered a ForeignMission during the administration of PresidentArthur, and the mission to Berlin by PresidentHarrison, but declined both. Mr. Kinney wasmarried to Estelle Condit, October 1, 1S63. Theyhave four children: Mary Clementine, wife of Wil-liam CampbellCHark, Margaret C, Estelle Burnet andWilliam ISurnet THOS. T.
