Supposed to have come from Cook's third voyage, and for many years exposed to the ravages of light, dust and insects on a wall in the Florentine Anatomical Museum. Dr. Giglioli has described the remains.^'' The capes made from these most brilliant white feathers must have been very splendid, but this is the only one whose remains I have tracked. The plumage is far more satiny than that of P.
