Interlude of Laughter. The laughter of children doesn't ring too often in the streets of poverty-stricken Naples. The children are hungry. They follow Coast Guardsmen, Navy and Army men through the streets begging. Yet even hungry children forget that gnawing stomach on occasion and laugh as all children should. So this street scene, recorded by a Coast Guard Combat Photographer, is rare. Lean, dirty faces light up for a ride on a simple, home-made merry-go-round.
