A 1948 US postage stamp in honour of 100 years of women's Elizabeth Stanton, Carrie Catt and Lucretia Mott.


Elizabeth Cady Stanton (1815-1902) was an American suffragist, social activist, abolitionist, and leading figure of the early women's rights movement. Carrie Chapman Catt (1859-1947)was a key figure in the passing of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution, granting women the right to vote. She also founded the League of Women Voters. Lucretia Mott (1793-1880) was a Quaker, abolitionist, women's rights activist, and social reformer.
