Hanoi Tran Quoc Pagoda one of Vietnam
Tran Quoc pagoda sits on an island in the West Lake It was supposedly founded 1 400 years ago by King Ly Nam De with the name Khai Quoc National Founder The pagoda originally sat on the bank of the Red River but was moved to the present site during the reign of King Le Kinh Tong 1600 1618 and renamed Tran Quoc National Defense One of the present statues inside the pagoda was fashioned in 1639
