(Doi ble Tiger Lily.)—Bright orange scarlet with dark s]30ts; a strong growing, showy variety, and entirely hard_v; succeeds well everywhere. L,. Xenuifolium.—This beautiful lily is a native of Siberia and perfectly hardy; it blooms earh- in the season; the color is a lovely vermilion scarlet; very handsome. L,. Auratum. (Golden Banded Japan Lily.)—This superb lily has flowers composed of six white petals, thickly studded with rich chocolate crimson spots, and a bright golden band through tl;c center of each petal; exquisite vanilla like perfume. As the bulbs acfjuire age and strength the fldv/ers attain their maximum size and number. Upwards of twelve flowers have been produced on a single stem. It is perfectly hardy in dry soil, also admirably adapted for pot culture. See cut.
