The company employs eight emergency tower wagons,six of which are on duty throughout the twenty-fourhours, and two that are on duty for twelve hours. No. 00 trolley wire is used in re-equipmentthroughout the entire system. The overhead constructionis supported by tubular iron poles 30 ft. in height and inthree sections; the telescoped sections are 7 ins., 6 ins. and5 ins. A special device is employed at the overhead cross-ings, which prevents the wearing out or crystallizing ofthe trolley wire at these points. This consists of a sheet of between the repair shop on one side of the track, and thewood working department on the other, and crosses thetracks of the repair pits and the station storage tracks. The table operates on four tracks, which are slightlydepressed, so that the tracks on the platform are on a levelwith the shop tracks. The current for operating the motor
