A South Indian ritual sword,19th century The blade curves forward and has grooves on both sides. The blade mounting decorated with silver floral inlays. Conical guard decorated en suite with brass reinforced rim and interior cloth lining. Plate-shaped pommel with a short blunt finial,also bearing silver inlay. Leather-covered,slit scabbard.
