Nasal spray influenza vaccine. US Navy fire controlman receiving a nasal spray flu vaccine. This is the Flumist vaccine, developed by the US pharmaceutical company MedImmune, and first introduced in 2003. Vaccination programs carried out before and during winter influenza epidemics can reduce the impact of such epidemics on essential occupations, including military personnel. Photographed in November 2008, at a health fair at the Joint Forces Staff College, Norfolk, Virginia, USA.
