He just couldn't help it. It was in his blood. When you see a man pick up a nail or a piece of string it shows you his character just as plainly as his handwriting, his thumb print, or the way he wears his hat. It's just the same with a business house. We are a firm of nail ''pickers—and string savers. We are always fussing around to see if there isn't some way to sell stock cheaper, to grow the stock better, and to make the crate a little lighter. We don't give the Express Company any rest; we are after lower rates and better service. We have just succeeded in getting express matter on the Salt Lake Limited. This will be a big help for that territory. Been working for this for over two years. We have some other plans to save you money. You will hear about them later.
