A young girl in period costume sitting in a tent. She is with an English Civil War reenactment group in a recreation of 17th century English life. UK.

Lord Hopton’s Regiment of Foote, an English Civil War re-enactment group, dramatises the siege and fall of Corfe Castle, which took place during 1645-1646. The members of the group assemble together regularly from all parts of the country to put on these colourful displays. As well as re-enacting epic historical events, this group of history enthusiasts also provide us with an insight into the more prosaic everyday lives of the ordinary men, women and children living in 17th century England.
