EXTRASYSTOLE, ECG


Premature ventricular contraction is a form of irregular heartbeat in which the ventricle contracts prematurely. PVCs are followed by a compensatory pause which is longer than that of a normal heartbeat. This type of arrythmia is common after the age of 50.
