It is today an architectural and industrial monument. Together with the neighboring coking plant Zollverein, the mines of the colliery since 2001 belong to the UNESCO World Heritage. Factory swimming pool on the grounds of the former coking plant Zollverein. Young people enjoy the cooling off on a hot summer day.
