After the tree-lighting ceremony, a family views the lit tree in the drizzling rain, Scott Air Force Base, Ill., Dec. 7, annual event at the Scott Event Center included arts crafts activities for the children, “Santa's reindeer,” lighting of the tree, music, and the opportunity to take pictures with Mr. and Mrs. Claus, played by Chris Gooding of the 375th Force Support Squadron and his wife. Additionally, over 40 volunteers helped Trees for Troops give away 300 free trees to families for the holidays.
