A chiselled French smallsword,circa 1760 A triangular colichemarde thrusting blade with remnants of ornamental etching on the ricasso. The iron knucklebow hilt(guard plate somewhat loose)is richly cut with rocaille,flowery vines,and martial trophies on a stippled gold background. Later hilt cover of twisted brass wire and braided ferrules. The iron pieces have patina and are slightly pitted.
