Culham-based Reaction Engines in the UK has received £60m government funding for its revolutionary Sabre rocket engine that could see an aircraft fly passengers to Australia in just four-and-a-half hours. Alan Bond, the founder of Reaction Engines, based in Culham, Oxfordshire said the engine could power its 3,500mph 'Skylon' aircraft, which would also be capable of carrying people and payload
