Jal Binayak temple an important Ganesh Hindu shrine on the banks of the Bagmati river just below Chobar gorge in the Kathmandu valley Nepal It is dedicated to the elephant god Ganesh This was taken in October 2005 It has some good architecture and has supposedly been recently restored but does look rather run down and dilapidated Piles of rubbish litter the river bank and here the Bagmati is at its most polluted after leaving the city and flowing past huge rubbish dumps that seep into its waters In the background a blue sky filled with big fluffy cumulus white clouds and in the foreground deep lush green vegetation
