A black swan tends her eggs in the nest she has constructed along the banks of the River Exe. Black swans, Cygnus atratus, are native to Australia but numbers of then were introduced to Dawlish, near Exeter, over 40 years ago. This female escaped and has been living on the river in central Exeter for about a year. Devon River Exe, Exeter quayside, Devon, England.
