Kallina house,Zagreb,Croatia

The house Kallina is one of the most unusual architectural achievements of Zagreb. It is a residential palace completely covered in ceramic tiles. The house was constructed at the beginning of the XX th century by a rich owner of ceramic tiles factory. He used his own house as a promotional show-off for his company. The building was designed by famous Zagreb architect Vjekoslav Bastl and it's one of the most extraordinary examples of local art-nouveau architecture. Amazing colored tiles cover the entire building, some of them even showing secessionist floral motifs.
