The Brown Snake-eagle is a common, medium-sized dark eagle with a easily identifieable bright yelow eye. They are specialist hunters of snakes and other reptiles and prefer open woodland to hunt their prey. They have a very distinctive pale trailing edge to their underwing which also helps with ID.
