Harmondsworth, London, UK. 30th May, 2016 HACAN and anti-3rd runway campaigners in Harmondsworth 'celebrate' Heathrow’s 70th Birthday with 70 ‘No 3rd Runway’ balloons and over 750 black airplanes on the village green, representing the number of homes that would be destroyed. There were speeches and songs which made clear the disastrous effects locally and across much of the Southeast of any new runway, and people brought some imaginative gifts for Heathrow before a free lunch in the Five Bells Pub.
