This image may not be used to state or imply endorsement by CERN of any product, activity or service Chen-Ning Yang (right) visiting CERN, the European particle physics laboratory, in 1962. Chinese-US physicist Chen-Ning Yang (born 1922) shared the 1957 Nobel Prize in Physics for his work with Lee on parity conservation violation and the weak nuclear force. Yang and Lee also predicted the Z boson and W boson. Yang is talking to German physicist Helmut Faissner (centre, 1928-2007) and Dutch engineer and physicist Frank Krienen (left, 1917-2008). Faissner worked on key experiments at CERN relating to the Z and W bosons. Krienen worked at CERN for many years, from the 1950s to the 1970s. He worked on a number of detectors, including those use in the muon g-2 experiment. Photographed in May 1962.
