Senuhet Slays Warrior of Tonu
Sinuhe (Senuhet), who served the 12th Dynasty Egyptian prince Amenemhet (Amenemhet), heard a messenger deliver news of the pharaoh's murder. Fearing he might implicated, Sinuhe fled east to Palestine and married a chieftain's daughter. A jealous warrior in Palestine challenged Sinuhe, but lost the fight. The print is based on a painting by British artist Maurice Greiffenhagen (1862-1931).
